Eva Koťátková at CONVENT – Space for Contemporary Art, Ghent

For the opening exhibition of the third year, Convent presents a solo project by the Czech artist Eva Koťátková (°1982, Prague). In her work Koťátková examines how the individual relates to social structures such as a community, family and institutions. The exhibition focuses on a selection of sculptures and collages from 2014-2015.

Eva Koťátková lives and works in Prague. In 2013 she gained international recognition with her impressive installation Asylum, which was shown in the central exhibition The Encyclopedic Palace during the 55th edition of the Venice Biennial.
